Christ is risen!
Welcome to all who are visiting with us today. Please plan to be with us again soon. If you are in need of any of the services of the Church, please speak to one of the clergy after the service.
For services of the church you may speak with the following clergy: All who have questions or wish to learn more about the Orthodox Faith should also speak with Father John Hanson. Any who wish to schedule baptisms or weddings should speak with Father Steven Ritter. If you wish to ask about membership in the church, or if you wish to donate an item to the church, please speak with Father Deacon Zachary Rose. If you wish to schedule a Memorial Service for the departed, a Moleben for a special need, or a House Blessing, please speak with either Father John Townsend or Father Steven Ritter.
The Great Martyr George will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 6th, with Matins at 6:30 AM and Hours/Divine Liturgy at 9:40 AM. The Great Vespers will be celebrated at Father John’s home at 2:00 PM on May 5th before he leaves to go for a prison visit. Please note that this is a change in the schedule so that Father John can visit Orthodox inmates at Scott State Prison.
Bible Study will resume on Tuesday, May 6th, at 7:00 PM. It will be preceded by Compline and Evening Prayers at 6:00 PM.
The annual IOCC (International Orthodox Christian Charities) Walt/Run will be held on Saturday, May 10th. Our parishioners are encouraged to participate and offer support to this charitable organization of the Orthodox Church. They have contributed millions of dollars and offered much Christian love and support to people in need throughout the world, including the Republic of Georgia, Serbia, Greece, helping Christians and non-Christians alike. See Sophia Rountree for details.
Cookout at the Roses. Father Deacon Zachary, Matushka Rachel and the rest of the Rose family would like to invite you to a family cookout to be held at their home on Sunday, May 25th, at 4:00 PM. Hamburgers, hot dogs, and drinks will be provided; please bring a covered dish. If you can attend, contact Matushka Rachel at 678-445-7856 or email zrrose@bellsouth.net.
Notebooks are available in the outer narthex to sign up to receive emails from the church if you are not already doing so. Those who have moved or changed phone numbers or email addresses are also asked to update your information in the appropriate notebook.
