An International Fall Festival will be held at our church on Saturday, September 25th, from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM. The Divine Liturgy on that day will be at 8:00 AM. The purposes of the festival are to witness to the Orthodox Faith in our community, to raise funds to pay down our church mortgage so that we can proceed with building a parish hall, and to unite all of us in a common fellowship in the service of God and His Church. The help of every parishioner is needed. Please speak with Sophia Rountree about volunteering your help.
Father John plans to be in Ukraine and Georgia from September 15th until October 8th. The purpose of the trip is to make pilgrimage to holy places in both countries and to visit spiritual children and their families there. Father Steven will be available for services and pastoral care.
Church School registration will continue today and next Sunday. Parents are asked to go to the tents behind the church immediately after the kissing of the cross where information and forms for registration are available. It is most important that all parents register their children for church school. Church School will begin on Sunday, September 12th.
We will make the final collection today for St. Ilia Church in the Russian region of Klimera Mariel. We will send the funds to Father Andrei Romanov to help rebuild his traditional wooden church which was burned in the recent fires that have ravaged Russia.
