The Fourth Annual International Fall Festival was held on September 21st and 22nd. Through rain and shine the festival went on. We had many attendees and hope that they will visit again in the near future. The work of all volunteers was greatly appreciated. It truly takes an “international community” to pull the festival together.

On Thursday July 25th the St. Zosima Society held a successful event to help funding of the Fall Festival. A wonderful meal was served by the Stallworth family. Music was provided by Father Alexander. A splendid time was had by all.

Sunday, June 30, The Festival Committee received a blessing from Father Alexander as they begin preparing for the 2013 Fall Festival. This will be our fourth annual Fall Festival and each year it gets bigger and better. The Festival is our way to introduce the Orthodox Church to our community and share our Christian hospitality. On Saturday June 1, Helen Whipple was received into the Church by Holy Baptism. The godparents are Father Deacon John Hanson and Rachel Rountree.
On the feast of the Meeting of the Lord, we were visited by Mother Susanna, a nun at St. Elizabeth Monastery near Minsk, Belarus. She is seeking financial and spiritual support for the work of their convent - including a childrens hospital and drug/alcohol rehab residences.
On Monday, January 21, the youth of St. Mary's helped at St. John the Wonderworker's Loaves and Fishes program.

On December 2, 2012, St. Mary of Egypt’s Youth Group hosted a coffee hour fund-raiser/ toy drive to benefit families in need around the metro-Atlanta area. Money, toys, and other items were donated. The funds were used to purchase gifts. The toys and items were delivered to St. John the Wonderworker on December 13th. St. John the Wonderworker Orthodox Church organized the toy drive for Metro Atlanta Orthodox Churches. The next Youth Activity will be Monday, January 21.
